SoulKiss & Club Sabbat this Weekend at The Flame in San Diego
The Flame’s Weekend Calendar for the Second Weekend of August 2010
San Diego, CA – The Flame will be hosting two prime events this weekend: SoulKiss – for women who love women – and Club Sabbat, San Diego’s Premier Gothic Industrial Night.
SoulKiss - for women who love women – will open its doors at 9:00 pm on Friday night. DJ GIGI and special guest DJs will be spinning Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soul, and more. The evening will feature a special guest performance by ROOTS DANCE THEATER, along with the SoulKiss Dancers sliding down the poles. Club Sabbat is San Diego’s premier Gothic Industrial Night. Hosted by DJ Robin Roth, Diskroid, Drew Harlander, and Lady Noir. They will be spinning Industrial, Gothic, Darkwave, and Fetish, along with OLD SCHOOL in the back room. Doors open Saturday at 9:00 pm and the night lasts until 2:00 am.

This week Happy Hour for Friday will be extended to 10:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday will be from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A little bit of history: In 1953 the original club, “Garden of Allah,” burned to the ground. When it was resurrected in 1954 it became “The Flame” and continued through the 50s as a steak house and burlesque. The Flame’s Retro Sign has become a recognized landmark in San Diego. Today The Flame is a multi-themed venue, serving a wider range of clientele since the new management took over in 2009.
