San Diego,CA- How appropriate that THE FIRE EATERS will be joining us at THE FLAME in San Diego on our new JAZZ NIGHT with 88.3. We are looking forward to a great show. Join us for a nightcap and some great music.

The members of The Fire Eaters have spent the past six months serving as the house band for Super El Camino in San Diego, Ca. Every Saturday night they performed many classic soul jazz, rare groove, and funk classics by artists such as Jimmy Smith, Gene Harris, Idris Muhammed, and Rusty Bryant. Featuring Jake Najor on drums, Deron Gant on guitar, Tim Felten on organ and electric piano, Chris Lea on sax and flute, and Jesse Bowen on bass. You’ll find them soon at a venue near you.

About the Flame…
A little bit of history: In 1953 the original club, “Garden of Allah,” burned to the ground. When it was resurrected in 1954 it became “The Flame” and continued through the 50s as a steak house and burlesque. The Flame’s Retro Sign has become a recognized landmark in San Diego. Today The Flame is a multi-themed venue, serving a wider range of clientele since the new management took over in 2009.
